Last year near the end of 2024 I decided to try out in some tournaments and see how I could do. This will be a pretty short log for today.
Okay I wouldn't call my OWC tryout performance a disaster. I obviously knew I wasn't capable of playing in OWC yet. I decided to do this to see how I would do against others and to just have some fun.
The US does tryouts by having two pools, First week lower star (similar to a round of 32 or ro16 pool star rating) and next week higher star (Close to finals star rating), both weeks contain an A & B pool. I only played the first week since after the first week the maps got too hard for me and I really wanted to play MineCraft instead.
I am pretty happy that I almost nearly beat BTMC even though he was sight reading the pool and was already playing for multiple hours.
I did manage to set a really nice score on the HD2 map and managed to get 2nd in the lobby.
Other than that I didn't really have any other notable scores in the lobby. They were either all average or ( in the case when playing Hard Rock) completely died.

Pool B was a much smaller lobby, which made it go a lot faster, and I found the maps more comfortable in this pool.
I managed get one of the top scores out of everyone who played the pool on Suzumiya's beautiful Kirby Mix like map.
4WC is very similar to OWC except only people ranked #10,000 - #1,000 are allowed to join. I was quite confident that I could stand a chance in this and potentially even be considered on the team but I unfortunately fumbled quite hard and it demotivated me enough that I didn't bother playing the second week pool. 3:
I placed 27th out of 65 players. It's not too bad but still quite a ways away from being considered for the team. I think I really could have done a lot better in my multi lobbies but due to my motivation and skill at the time I fumbled. My mouse fell of my mouse pad twice on accident since I had it in the wrong position xD.
That's about it for this log. A pretty short one that I have been meaning to write for months now but as a professional procrastinator I had to. I plan to write about my USC 2025 experience, my recent goals, and pop-offs i've had.
