Harumiii Sniping Saga

HAPPY GOOD DAY

Welcome to the greatest shit throwing osu! sniping war of all time. Who is the most unemployed and who will sink the most ass sweat in their chair before the sun explodes and kills everything ever made.

On a nice relaxing day (6. August 2025) I decided to start mass sniping Harumi since 2 years before this she shit talked a friend and sniped all of their scores so I thought it would be really funny to snipe as many of her scores as possible. :3

The First Day

The first day started peacefully and I was just playing through as many maps as I could easily SS with rates. Very quickly did things get silly as Harumi noticed the constant messages in #announce on the maps that she had #1 on.

I also ended up sniping her on eiri-'s set of Mahou Shoujo Chino which Harumiii seemed to really like. After sniping I ended up getting blocked for a day or two.

"You can't snipe this"

Harumi ended up making a big mistake

She said I couldn't snipe her on Mochi's guest difficulty on lit120 beatmap-set of Haru no Hi.

Now in all fairness this map is pretty hard once you apply a pretty high rate (1.8x as I was using to snipe HDHRFLCL) since it becomes a VERY fast 300bpm burst map. I didn't warm up well so my early scores were pretty bad.

Introducing: Copium

She also started to really get into sniping my friend -Koyuki- so much so that she even sniped scores the second it entered his recent plays.

I also managed to befriend an osu! player by the name of Minnamallow. They had some silly beef in the osu! alternative server and he wanted me to keep sniping so give gifted me a bond (membership) on Old School RuneScape which was insane and so I was AFK training combats in the background whilst sniping Harumiii

Linux Fuckery and revenge

Harumi ended up making an even bigger mistake.

She dared underestimate me and out of my pure pettiness I decided to grind flashlight but there was one problem. I refused to do so without gamma as it made reading with HD and just sliders in general so much easier that it would be stupid to grind without it.

I was able to boot into an x11 session with KDE Plasma 5 on Linux Mint (Yes I know it was a very scuffed setup but it worked at the time) and change the gamma easily from the settings menu but unfortunately for whatever reason it stopped working and I had no luck with Wayland either. I did end up switching my setup (Arch + Hyprland) and found out about a tool called Gammastep (fork of Redshift for Wayland) and used this command.

Now I can finally comfortably play flashlight. Let's just ignore the fact I also nuked my osu! Lazer install in the dumbest way possible.

The First FL Snipe

I decided I wanted to try a short map and found Midorijean's mapset of Aozora Morning Glory.

Very simple very easy 30 second map that took me maybe about an hour to get the SS. The hardest part was the burst in the ending I kept over and under aiming.

The Sentou De Pinch Saga

This was by far my least favorite grind and really showed me how bad lazer scoring was. I originally picked this map just because I knew I could probably bare the song after many retries but it ended up turning into an insane 3 day grind that went sort of nowhere.

I played the insane difficulty of Sotarks set of this map which was very easy to memorize. I managed to get a DTHDFL FC very quickly and was satisfied with this and didn't intend to play the map any further.

But then Harumi sniped back with a HDHRNC(1.2x)FL SS and this started my descent into madness. I thought it wouldn't take too much to snipe back but little did I know that I would spend over 10 hours and 300 retries just to get ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE.

I started up the stream and Harumi ended up showing up mid-way through causing this reaction.

WARNING VERY LOUD

I ended up trying to increase the rate because SSing with 1.6x didnt seem possible but looking back on that decision I think it only worsened the mind block I was getting on this. I did manage to get some 1.7x (My current top score) and 1.8x FC's but it wasn't enough to snipe Harumiii's score due to my worse acc which I think is bullshit since I am playing the map 2384823 faster and with slightly higher OD but fucking lazer scoring SAHDFHSFH

I also don't live alone so in order to not have ZADRUGA UZIVO PINK TV bullshit in the background I decided to move into the "the hole" (aka nasty basement) to stream some of the session. I did this for 2-3 streams.

The Mole

I decided to make a server for a few friends called "Harumi Extermination Squad" just for a bit of fun. We would just share around snipes and memes about `the whole thing but we ended up having a mole in the group...

Froyo (a.k.a Froyoislovely) is a flashlight and leaderboard player who joined the server when Meru invited her.

She did end up sniping some of Harumiii's scores whilst even doing GD's on maps with her but she randomly ended up becoming more inactive and was likely leaking messages within the group. She also did one of Sun Tzu's many strategies and used romance against Meru which caused a funny shit show in the server.

I didn't decide to ban her right away so I just took her perms for seeing the regular channels then made fake ones that were the same as the old ones except all messages were cleared. She noticed but I just said it was probably Discord being shit and uhhhh she didn't say anything more. I later banned her though.

At least I got taught some osu leaderboard farming/flashlight tech though so it was all worth it in the end.

The End (For now... maybe... idk I am tired of new maps)

Doing this was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed spending the time grinding this out. I don't have any plans at the moment to keep sniping (I was originally going to keep going and make a part two but my motivation died out and I want to play CTB/Tournaments) so this will be the end unless I get really bored and decide to go again. For the time being ill do the random one here and there when I want #1's but I really dont care anymore and I think I did the job and mostly avenged Meru and the person from the beginning.

I did a really poor job keeping count of the total #1s I obtained but it is easily in the 30-50, if not more, range and really boosted the amount of #1's I had. I plan to make a video about the Sentou De Pinch Saga since I have a lot of silly clips from when I was streaming all of this.
